 Favorite Book Quotes

"

 I stepped inside

and immediately felt at ease,

as though in the presence of close friends among the many books with the colorful spines,

the towering wooden shelves,

and the scent of old paper, mustiness,

and memories.

Heather Webber

/ Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe

"

His favorite moment, even more than the sweet shop and  the single large jawbrakers she would occasionally buy for him was a chance to look at the children's books at the library and find something new to borrow. Becasue ... inside the pages of each and every book was  a whole other world.

Natalie Jenner

/ The Jane Austen Society

"

The best moments in reading are when you come across something – a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things – which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours.

Welcome to my page, home to information about my work, background, professional affiliations, as well as KidLit resources and interviews. When I am not at my office job as an Accounting Manager, I love writing fiction and nonfiction for children, hoping to inspire and uplift a future generation of writers, readers and innovators. I live in Rowlett, TX with my family and pets, decorating our new home and learning to garden in North Texas, having grown up in Europe where the soil is significantly different.
